Stream of Ma is inspired by a Japanese concept Ma (間), which can be translated as the ‘space in between’. According to Ma it is the space left empty, rather than the inscribed that carries the meaning of a piece of art.
By applying both their technical and artistic skill, the MA students from the MUT lab have worked together to create a multimedia installation, setting up an arrangement of programmable LED strips.
Featuring a series of original animations, it serves as a commentary about the forced isolation and the sensory overload we all experience in current times.
